1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern use of Mendli. Customers and workers may also be asked to accept role-specific Customer Terms, Worker Terms, Job Posting Terms and quote-specific terms. If a role-specific term is more specific, it applies to that activity, but it cannot remove statutory rights.

2. What Mendli does

Mendli is a marketplace that helps customers and local workers find each other, communicate, quote, organise jobs, keep job records and use support/dispute tools. Unless Mendli expressly agrees otherwise, Mendli is not the worker carrying out the job and does not employ workers merely because they use the platform.

3. Accounts and information

  • Provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
  • Do not impersonate others, misuse another account or provide deliberately false job, profile, review or verification information.
  • Use Mendli only for lawful work and lawful communications.
  • Mendli may restrict accounts where reasonably necessary for security, fraud, safety, serious breaches or legal compliance, subject to applicable appeal/review rights.

4. Jobs, quotes and agreements

Posting a job or expressing interest is not by itself a final agreement on price or scope. Customers should review the worker’s quote, scope, exclusions, call-out fee, deposit, timing and any clearly disclosed worker-specific terms before accepting. Accepted variations should be recorded through Mendli where the product supports this.

5. Insurance, licences and qualifications

Workers are responsible for providing accurate information about insurance, licences, qualifications and certificates. Mendli may provide tools for workers to display documents and may record whether a document has been checked, but this does not mean Mendli guarantees that the document is current, genuine in every respect, or suitable for a particular job. Before work starts, the customer is responsible for deciding what insurance, licence or qualification is appropriate for the work and for checking the worker has suitable and current cover or credentials. Customers should request further evidence where the nature of the job reasonably requires it.

6. Payments, invoices and fees

Payment features, platform fees, invoices, deposits, refunds and credits are shown in the relevant job/account records. Workers are responsible for accurate tax/VAT information where applicable. Mendli may retain transaction records where required for accounting, tax, dispute or legal purposes.

6. Cancellations, disputes and support

Use the job’s support/dispute tools where there is a disagreement. Mendli may review messages, quotes, job records and evidence reasonably relevant to a dispute. Undisputed payment portions may be treated separately where the product rules allow. Fraudulent evidence or claims may result in account action.

7. Reviews and conduct

Reviews must reflect genuine experience and must not be unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, fraudulent or deliberately misleading. Mendli may moderate content that breaches platform rules or law. Users must communicate respectfully and must not use Mendli to arrange illegal or unsafe work.

8. Platform availability

We aim to keep Mendli available and secure, but internet services can experience maintenance, outages or faults. Mendli may change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary and will take reasonable steps to protect existing records and user rights.

9. Intellectual property

Mendli branding, software, interface and original content belong to Mendli or its licensors. Users keep ownership of content they upload but grant Mendli the limited rights needed to host, display, moderate and process that content to operate and protect the service.

10. Privacy

Personal data is handled under the Privacy Policy, Cookie & Tracking Policy and applicable data-protection law.

11. Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits statutory consumer rights. To the extent permitted by law, Mendli is not responsible for losses caused by matters outside its reasonable control or for a user’s independent acts or omissions.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or jurisdiction rights that apply to you.
